Assessment

Ascent School of Management London internally assesses all the qualification units and the assignments are externally verified by IBT. A combination of coursework and assignments is used for assessment, and students must show that they meet each assessment criteria and learning outcomes detailed within each unit of the qualification to the required standard for the unit level.

Certificates will be awarded after assessing the candidate’s coursework and assignments. A qualified tutor will examine the evidence and make a decision, which is verified by the external verifier from IBT who will announce the ultimate results. Learners should successfully complete and pass all the modules to be eligible for the certificates.


Entry Requirements

The qualification has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers that restrict access. The applicant's age should be 18 or above at the time of applying for the qualification. There are few other criteria as well, please see below:

  • A level 3 Diploma qualification or relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 3 Award/Diploma
  • Learners holding considerable work experience.
  • In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, then IELTS 6 (or equivalent) is required.

Progression

Award in Principles of Marketing and Customer Service (SCQF Level 7) -  In the UK, qualifications at this level are broadly equivalent to the first year of a Bachelors (Hons) degree. Therefore, learners can also use this qualification to progress on to gaining higher qualifications in a relevant field. Having successfully completed this award you may choose to progress to RQF Level 4 Certificate or Diploma, OR SCQF Level 8 Award, Certificate or Diploma and with additional training you might pursue business-related careers in fields such as accounting, administration, customer service, finance, information technology or sales.
