Entry requirements

  • Global learners belonging to a background where English is considered a second language must attend an English exam at the IBT approved centres. Or they can attend an IELTS examination or similar other exams, where they must score a minimum of 5.5 or above.
  • A level 2 qualification in the hotel management vocational area or
  • The age of the learner must be 16 years or more and
  • The learners must have sufficient knowledge and skills related to numbers and literacy accompanied by a general education level which should have an equal value to that of a 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C or
  • A level 2 qualification in hotel management or business or relevant work experience in hotel management is required.

The assessment will be carried out internally for all units. All the performances are evaluated by coursework. This may include staff observations, practical projects and production of portfolios. There is no formal examination for any of the units.

Learners will assess by their course work and assignments. Students will make sure to meet up the assessment criteria attached with each unit to the appropriate standard for the level of the unit.

Diploma certificate will be awarded following to the candidate's course work. This provided only after the checking and verification of qualified tutor and the confirmation of an external verifier. Candidate must pass all the seven units to get awarded and also a minimum of 40% marks in each unit.


  • The learner can register for Level 4 of IBT Certificate in Hotel Management or
  • The career growth opportunity in the hospitality sector can be explored. Besides, the career opportunities included the exploring of middle and senior-level management positions as per the requirement of the learners or
  • The course would allow entry into some of the outstanding Universities or

Level of attainment

Learners who meet the requirements for the qualification will be awarded a pass. The qualification itself is not graded. For each unit learners will be marked out of 100 and will be graded as follows.
